National Enviro – Meet (Paryawarn Chintan)
Environment and Social Development Association (ESDA) was organized a national convention named “National Enviro-Meet” on the theme of “Paryawan Chintan” to deep discussion on the solution of water crises & pollution in India, high level of air pollution in Delhi-NCR and implementation of environment education in India on May 7, 2017 at Gandhi Peace Foundation, Deendyal Upadhyay Marg, ITO, Delhi. Prof. Bhola R. Gurjar (Head, Centre for Transportation Systems (CTRANS), Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T.), Roorkee, Uttarakhand) was the Program Chairman and Dr. Jitendra K Nagar (General Secretary of ESDA) was the program convener. Sadhvi Guru Maa Knachan Giri (Chairperson, Mahakal Manav Seva and Convener, Kisan Bachao Abhiyan) was the preside this convention. Shri Jagannath Mishra (Hon’ble Ex-Union Minister of India and Ex-Chief Minister of Bihar) was the chief guest in this convention. Shri Lokesh Kumar, IRS (OSD, Hon’ble Union Minister, Ministry of Water Resources, R D & Ganga Rejuvenation Govt. of India) and Dr. V. K. Shekar, IPS (DIG, Jail, Meerut Zone, U.P.) were the guest of honor of this program.
Shri Arvind Mohan (Gandhiwadi, Writer, Senior Journalist & Consultant, ABP News Network), Dr. DD BASU (Advisor, Centre for Science & Environment, Delhi & Ex-Additional Director, Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi), Shri Suresh Nautiyal (Member, Global Greens Coordination, Belgium & Editorial Consultant, United News of India), Dr. Rajesh Naithani (Director & Chairman, Human Resources South African Express, Govt. of South Africa), Shri Vijay Vidrohi (Executive Editor, ABP News Network, Noida) and Dr. Jaigopal Sharma (Associate Professor, DTU, Delhi & Ex-Scientist D, Ministry of Earth Science, Govt. of India) were the guest of speakers in this national convention. About 307 environmentalists, scientists, academicians, research scholars, journalists, social activists, advocates, civil society’s or NGO representatives and ESDA offices bearers & volunteers from 13 states of India were participated in this program and benefited to learn about environment protection. This was very successful program of awareness regarding environment protection. All participants take oath to protect our mother earth and work started for conservation of nature.
