Cleaning and Protection of River Yamuna

Mahakal Manav Sewa Samiti and Environment and Social Development Association (ESDA) was jointly organized a program to clean and save the River Yamuna with establishment of 251 dustbins at Yamuna Ghat, ITO Delhi on September 10, 2017. Pollution problem of River Yamuna was also discussed by famous Saints of different Math & Akhada, Environmental Activists, Journalists and Social Activists in this program. The program Convener was Sri Sri 1008 Kanchan Giri ji Maharaj Joona Akhada & President of Mahakal Manav Sewa Samiti. Dr. Jitendra K Nagar (General Secretary of ESDA) was the Co-convener of the program.

The world fame Saints comprising Sri Sri 1008 Mahamandleshwar Swami Kailashand Brahmchari Ji Maharaj, Sri Mahant Parshuram Giri Ji Maharaj, International Secretary of Sri Panch Dashanam Joona akhada, Sri Sri 1008 Mahamandleshwar Nawal kishor Das Ji, Sri Sri 1008 Surendra Nath Mathadheesh Siddhpeeth Kalka Mandir Delhi, Saint Sri Sri Radhe Krishna Ji Maharaj Haridwar, Sadhvi Prem Giri Ji Maharaj, Sri Mahant August Giri Ji, Sadhvi Sri Poorvi Sakshi Ji and Dr. Swargbala Ji from different Math & Akhada and famous singer Shankar Sahani ji, Mrs. Lalita Sharma (BJP), Mr. Uma Shankar Santhalia, Sri Ishwardev Singh Negi & more than 50 ESDA team members were participated in this noble cause and gave different types of ideas to save River Yamuna. Sri Sri 1008 Mahamandleshwar Swami Kailashand Brahmchari Ji Maharaj told the importance of rivers in origin of life and development of human. He said that rivers are playing very significant role to sustain the life of all living creatures. We have to save these rivers at any cost.

All Saints and activists were established 251 Dustbins (Kalash) at bank of River Yamuna, ITO Yamuna Ghat, Delhi. They appealed to all residents of Delhi and nearby States by media that please don’t through your waste or Pooja Samangri directly in the holy River Yamuna. They appealed please use these dustbins (Kalash) that is holy like River. About 300 members of other organization participated in this program.
