On the Special Occasion of World Environment Day – 2018, Environment and Social Development Association (ESDA) Delhi with a group of different eminent organizations such as Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, University of Delhi, CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute Delhi and National Environmental Science Academy (NESA) Delhi have organized successfully a National Conference on Environmental Challenges for ‘New India’ on 2nd - 3rd June, 2018 at Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, University of Delhi, Delhi-94. The academicians, scientists, policy makers, research scholars, environmentalists, educationists, journalists, social activists, civil societies, industrial representatives and students across the India participated in the conference.
About 500 participants & Speakers from 18 States of India and more than 40 Universities & Institutions like DU, JNU, DTU, IPU, Jamia Milia Islamia Delhi, BHU, AMU, DRDO, BARC Mumbai, ICAR, ITT Delhi & Roorkee, FRI Dehradun, CSIR-NEERI, CPCB, SPCSs, MCD, VP Chest Institute of Delhi University, GBU, TERI University, Amity University of Noida & Gurgaon and many states Universities with many corporates groups including Reliance Industries limited, Adani Groups, Jubilant Life Science Limited, Indian Glycol Limited, Honda Motors, UNO Minda Ltd., Bajaj Group, Earthood Pvt Ltd., URS Pvt Ltd, NEPRA Resource Management Pvt. Ltd, IL&FS Environmental Infrastructure & Services Limited, Sunbeam Auto Pvt. Ltd., Maven- Client Servicing, Delight Industrial Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Universal Analytical Lab., etc. participated in the Conference.

Four Plenary sessions on special themes like Air pollution, Climate Change, Waste Management, Water pollution, crises & conflict and three open award sessions for oral presentation of 45 participants, one open award sessions for Poster presentation of 27 participants, one Panel Discussion and plantation with inaugural & valedictory program organized in this conference. Any plastic items were not used in this conference.

It was organized very successfully, well managed and significantly with 9 technical sessions, one Inaugural & Valedictory program and fully electronic & print media Coverage due to hard work of organizing secretary Dr. Jitendra K Nagar, General Secretary of ESDA and sincerity of organizing team of ESDA India, BRAC-DU, CSIR_NEERI & NESA. The ESDA is thankful to the competent authority of the BRAC-DU, CSIR-NEERI & NESA to collaborate for this national conference.
