The Environment and Social Development Association (ESDA) Delhi organized successfully its 3rd ESDACON-2019 (International Conference | Award | Exhibition) on ‘Global Environmental Challenges, Human Health and Sustainable Development’ on 11-13 January, 2019 at the Convention Centre, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in foreign partnership with Metropolitan University, San Juan, PR, USA and in collaboration with Center for the Study of Regional Development (CSRD), Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, University of Delhi, CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Amity University Noida, Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital Delhi, GRC India, ECPFO Delhi and GSI Delhi. About 800 delegates including the academicians, scientists, medical doctors, policymakers, stakeholders, research scholars, environmentalists, educationists, journalists, social activists, civil societies, industrial representatives and students across the World were participated in this convention. The Conference was organized very successfully as a landmark under the leadership of the Organizing Secretary Dr Jitendra K Nagar, General Secretary, Environment and Social Development Association (ESDA) Delhi with the presence of more than 100 speakers, 310 paper presenters (140 oral and 170 posters) and 600 delegates from 22 Sates of India and 5 foreign Countries.

Dr. Bhoore Lal, Hon’ble Chairman, Environmental Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority, New Delhi was inaugurated the ESDACON 2019. In the Valedictory Session, Hon’ble Justice Mr. Swatanter Kumar, Former Judge of Supreme Court of India & Former Chairperson of National Green Tribunal and Shri Imran Hussain, Hon’ble Minister of Environment and Forest, Govt. of NCT, Delhi was participated as a Chief Guest. Prof. Jagadesh Kumar, Vice Chancellor, JNU, Delhi, Prof. Raj Kumar, Director, Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, University of Delhi, Mr. Deepanshu Shrivastava, Chairman of Governing Body and Dr. G. Environment and Social Development Association (ESDA)’ Delhi conferred its Green Award 2019 to some eminent personalities for their outstanding and remarkable contribution in the field of protection of Environment and Natural Resources. These prestigious awards presented in the Valedictory Program of International Conference (ESDACON 2019) on 13 January, 2019. The most prestigious award “ESDA Life Time Achievement Award 2019” presented to Hon’ble Justice Mr. Swatanter Kumar, Former Judge of Supreme Court of India & Former Chairperson of National Green Tribunal. The “ESDA Global Green Award 2019” presented to Prof. Raj Kumar, Director, Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute of University of Delhi and “ESDA Environmental Excellence Award 2019” presented to Er. Paritosh Tyagi, Former Chairman of CPCB Delhi, Prof. B. R. Gurjar, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT, Roorkee, Dr. S K Goyal, Head, CSIR- NEERI Delhi Zonal Centre and Dr Dheeraj Singh, CEO, GRC India. (All details of awardees have given in Award section)
